Kepak Athleague has partnered with Roscommon Women’s Network Cycle Up programme to provide support to 110 families within the local community with food and gifts this Christmas. Kepak Athleague has sponsored the making and delivery of food and gift bags by Roscommon Women’s Network to South Roscommon Family Resource Centre and Castlerea Family Resource Centre to families in need. The bags were made by members of the Roscommon Women’s Network Cycle Up programme.

GROCER GOLD AWARDS 2023: SUPPLY CHAIN INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR
Kepak stood out from the crowd with the rollout of its automated packing line, implemented on its Rustlers range at its Kirkham factory last year.
The new, state-of the-art tech replaced three high-energy usage machines. Not only was the line more efficient, but it also removed the need for plastic shrink wrap, previously required on all Rustlers products.
MEATH LADIES ON SCHOOL VISITS AS PART OF NEW INITIATIVE
Kepak is marking the historic success of the All-Ireland winning Meath Senior Ladies football team with an initiative that links the squad and primary schools across Meath.
Every primary school attended by a player from the All-Ireland winning squad will be presented with a framed jersey and squad picture of the player involved. Players from the double All-Ireland winning team will be visiting over 25 primary schools in the coming weeks and over 10,000 primary school students will get the chance to meet members of this history-making Meath team.
KEPAK MERTHYR HOSTS MINISTERIAL VISIT AND OUTLINES MAJOR CONTRIBUTION TO LOCAL ECONOMY
A major, multi-million contribution to the local economy by Kepak Merthyr and plans for future investment and expansion were highlighted during a visit to the meat processing site by Vaughan Gething, Minister for the Economy of Wales. The Minister heard how the site contributed over £200 million annually to the local economy in wages and livestock purchase during a visit to the plant on the Pennygarnddu Industrial Estate, purchased by the Kepak Group in 2018.

The Twenty20 Beef Club, a partnership between Glanbia Ireland and Kepak Group, has won a coveted European Award for Cooperative Innovation in the international competition organised by Cogeca. It was shortlisted under the ’Economic Value Creation’ category.
KEPAK GROUP PARTNERS WITH SUPERVALU TO LAUNCH FIRST EVER LAMB PRODUCER GUIDELINES
Kepak Group, the leading Irish food company, has become the first Irish meat producer to introduce Lamb Producer Guidelines to support farmers in producing best-in-class Irish lamb in accordance with the highest animal welfare and environmental standards.
Kepak developed the guidelines in association with Ireland’s largest retailer, SuperValu. Both Kepak and SuperValu are committed to sourcing the highest quality produce from Irish farms that adhere to strict animal welfare guidelines and that are dedicated to enhancing sustainability practices on their farms. These factors contribute to high animal and food safety, as well as sustaining and enhancing the quality of Irish lamb for consumers, while protecting the natural environment and biodiversity for years to come.
Kepak Group host flagship events at the International Congress of Meat Science & Technology
Kepak is set to host two of the flagship events taking place as part of the 63rd International Congress of Meat Science and Technology being held in Cork this week (13th-17th August).
In addition to a robust programme on thought provoking topics of global interest, over 400 delegates can look forward to an array of informative events and technical tours such as the Kepak sponsored visit to Teagasc Moorpark (where they will sample grass fed Irish beef from Kepak Cork), and a technical tour of Kepak Cork, Kepak’s flagship site where delegates will be shown best practice in meat processing covering topics from animal welfare to slow cooking of meats.
Kepak Scoops 6 Awards at Prestigious World Steak Challenge
Kepak has scooped a whopping five awards at this year’s prestigious World Steak Challenge. Flying the flag for Ireland, Kepak beat off stiff competition not only from Ireland but from large beef-producing countries such as Japan and Brazil to take home gold, silver and bronze accolades across a number of different categories.
Kepak was the only Irish company to achieve three gold medals, one silver and two bronze at the competition; in addition, Kepak picked up awards in both grass and grain-fed categories.
Irish Angus Producer Group celebrates milestone achievement
The Irish Angus Producer Group is celebrating a 20-year collaboration this month with Tesco Ireland, the “leading retailer for Certified Irish Angus Beef since 1997”
The partnership was marked at an event in Dublin last Thursday (June 22), where a group of farmers from around the country were also honoured for their “commitment and dedication to the production of Certified Irish Angus Beef since the brand was developed”, according to the producer group.
RUSTLERS Partners with FAI in Flaming Hot New Deal
RUSTLERS, the number one brand in Europe for proper flame grilled burgers that are quick to prepare, has today announced a deal with the FAI which will see the brand become an Official Sponsor of the Republic of Ireland team.
In addition to becoming an Official Sponsor of the Irish Soccer Team, RUSTLERS, owned by Kepak, will also be the new title sponsor of the Colleges and Universities Competitions to be re-launched in September 2017.
