The Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition has been recognised at the prestigious Education Awards 2026, receiving the Best Student Experience award.
The accolade highlights the programme’s strong impact in connecting second-level students with Ireland’s agri-food sector through meaningful, real-world industry engagement. The initiative is designed to give students hands-on insight into sustainable beef production, while developing key skills such as teamwork, communication and critical thinking.
The award reflects the continued commitment of Certified Irish Angus and Kepak Group to supporting agricultural education and inspiring the next generation of industry leaders.
Each year, students from across the country take part in the competition, gaining valuable experience and a deeper understanding of the farm-to-fork journey. The programme also plays an important role in raising awareness of sustainability, animal welfare and food quality standards.
Certified Irish Angus acknowledged the contribution of the many students, teachers and industry partners who make the initiative possible, as well as the ongoing support of Kepak Group.
The competition was recognised alongside a number of leading educational institutions and organisations, including Griffith College, Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, Dunboyne College of Further Education, National Learning Network and Technological University of the Shannon.
This recognition further strengthens the programme’s reputation as a leading example of how education and industry can work together to deliver meaningful learning experiences and promote careers within the agri-food sector.
