We currently have an opportunity in the Kepak Convenience Food division for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to work within our Maintenance team, working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (day shifts and night shifts). This position will require a certain degree of flexibility including the ability to complete an initial training and probationary period whilst on day/night shift.

The successful candidate will welcome undertaking a broad range of tasks including providing speedy efficient response to any breakdowns, planned maintenance and business liaison. They will be pro-active in creating ideas and implementing solutions that will increase business productivity.

Skills and Qualifications;

  • a minimum of NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent (electrical bias)
  • excellent fault finding skills
  • strong mechanical skills
  • vocational knowledge of pneumatics
  • experience of working in a FMCG environment (Desirable)
  • experience of working in food production (Desirable)
  • good IT skills

This position is crucial to the efficient running of our site, therefore the successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal departments/contractors.
